What we do

As law is an exceptionally wide and diverse field, providing effective legal services requires a lawyer's systematic and long-term specialisation in particular areas. In our office, we always put quality before quantity: instead of offering general legal services, our aim is to provide high-quality services based on extensive knowledge, practice and experience.

Corporate governance, share transfers, mergers, acquisitions

In corporate governance, Mgr. Jaroslav Juráš specialises in matters concerning corporation status ranging from documents of incorporation to share transfers to reorganisation. He also deals with M&A transactions, i.e. acquisitions, mergers and the assumption of property interests and assets: to put it simply, the sale and purchase of businesses. His M&A experience includes clients' acquisitions worth over 50 million euro.

Commercial and civil relations, civil and commercial actions

Since the beginning of his legal practice, Mgr. Marek David specialises in particular in contractual relations, i.e. especially the assessment and tailoring of the client's contractual agenda to their needs and actual operation. He also handles and represents his clients in commercial and civil actions, having long experience of representation in judicial proceedings, with the subject-matter often worth over millions. When he represents clients, Mr David adopts the following principle: high-quality representation of your clients in judicial proceedings requires extensive knowledge of not only the subject-matter of the action, but also of procedural law. If you do not have sufficient knowledge of procedural law, you cannot represent your client with adequate quality.

Employment relations

In the area of employment relations, JUDr. Lucie Chovancová specialises in employment contracts and internal regulations (preventive regulations, implementation of uniform procedures and mechanisms), employment termination, including violation of employee's duties in employment relations, both from the employer's and the employee's perspective. She also deals with filing claims following wrongful dismissals, work-related injuries and occupational diseases as well as with compensation claims.

Ms Chovancová also gains a lot of practical experience in employment law training sessions she gives, where she can pass on her knowledge and also discuss and consult the attendees' questions and real life challenges.

Construction and administrative law, public law disputes

In his legal practice, JUDr. Vojtěch Dolina and Mgr. Martin Kandel specialise in administrative law, in particular construction law, where they deal with both complex matters such as town and country planning or building bans, and resolving neighbour disputes. In the area of taxes, they defend their clients' rights against a tax administrator's unlawful practice. They represent clients in various administrative proceedings before administrative authorities as well as in any subsequent proceedings before administrative courts.

Mr Dolina's specialisation in administrative law is built on his appointment as an assistant judge at the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic, experience that he now makes use of in practice.

Family relations

Mgr. Klára Slívová has long been specialising in providing legal services in such a sensitive area as family relations. With her clients, she regularly discusses the best possible family arrangement following a divorce of marriage with minor children (award of custody, contact and duty to support and maintain), respecting the principles of the Cochem system in the operating of courts and child protection authorities. This area inevitably also includes consulting services in property relations between spouses, both in the course and in particular at the termination of the marriage. In the area of family law relations, she always seeks to provide solutions that will enable the clients to handle such difficult periods of life with dignity and peace.

Start-ups

At the beginning of everything is an idea and great enthusiasm, as every beginning entrepreneur surely knows. However, when trying to start your business, you will gradually encounter a number of obstacles in the form of legal obligations, which may discourage some from proceeding. We have already founded dozens of companies for various areas in which our clients decided to do business, whether it was running a family hotel, a school, an e-shop, or designing and selling medical aids.

To ensure you don't lose your enthusiasm and can realize your business dreams, we are here to guide you through all the steps such as preparing contract documentation, establishing a company, or conducting legal risk analyses. We will help you start your business so that nothing stands in the way of your development.

If you are interested in legal services in this area, please contact our colleagues Mgr. Jaroslav Juráš and Mgr. Jan Hruboš.

Training

Even non-lawyers often cannot do without knowledge of certain legal minimums in their private and professional lives. To make acquiring this knowledge as comprehensible, clear, and factual as possible for you, don't hesitate to have us prepare tailored training from an area of your choice.

We'll be happy to train you, your employees, or members of your management.

Criminal law

Mgr. Marek David and JUDr. Vojtěch Dolina regularly work with clients in the area of criminal law. Anyone of us can face problems that we did not cause ourselves, and even if we did cause them, we certainly don't want to face them without a good defense attorney. They will stand by you and advise you on how to proceed. They will defend you in individual phases of criminal proceedings, as well as effectively protect your rights as victims of crimes or enforce compensation for damages against the state for unlawful criminal prosecution.

Custodies of funds

As part of the services provided by our law firm, we also offer our clients the possibility of custody of funds or documents related to the custody of funds. This represents an effective way to protect clients' financial transactions, ensure transparency of business dealings and guarantee the fulfillment of contractual obligations.

Fees for custody services:

  • CZK 4,000 + VAT for custody of amounts up to CZK 1,000,000 inclusive
  • CZK 6,000 + VAT + 0.1% of the amount exceeding CZK 1,000,000 for custody of amounts over CZK 1,000,000 up to CZK 10,000,000
  • CZK 20,000 + VAT + 0.01% of the amount exceeding CZK 10,000,000 for custody of amounts over CZK 10,000,000

The above fee includes the drafting of the escrow agreement, account management fees, possible custody of documents if part of the transaction, as well as other costs of the law firm incurred in connection with the implementation of the custody. However, the fee does not include any fee to the law firm for preparing accompanying contractual documentation (e.g. purchase contracts) if the law firm prepares it at the client's request.

International cooperation

In our practice, we regularly come across legal issues which overlap to Slovakia and its legal order. Thanks to the cooperation with the Slovak law firm ATTOR Law, we can guarantee to our clients in the Slovak Republic high quality legal services in the comparable range and quality to which you are accustomed when cooperating with us, including the administration department in Bratislava.
